Amorous De Pontia by Danielle Que

Grip aboard thy ship dear Pontia
Above Madrigal hoarded thick
As so He may gag up roulettes
Paired around the sails a nick
Dost thy will seek it?
Or dost tell thee another?
If so dearest canst tell me not?
If thou durst to flee beyond?
If thy heart keepest another,
But thy father’s kinsman
Hath thy sought a way to run?
Or shalt ever kiss the lonely man?

Burke and Hare

When you come across the line which includes your favorite body snatchers tracing back dark Edinburgh when cadavers were of scarcity and humanity on verge of extinction, your day is complete. William Burke and William Hare were prominent figures of medical crime history known for their series of body snatching and murders to supply mad Dr. Knox anatomical subjects, which , were thoroughly depleting during the times when there were few cretins to be hung in prison. Thomas Harris is a real good writer and I like this whole idea of including characters that were part of history or so naming characters after one of them. Let's just hope Hare isn't as sneaky as Hare in reality. :) Finishing this book.

Quid pro quo

I have finished the book and I am most certain that it is one of the best I've read in years. So far, I'm seeing a relevance between Lecter and Holmes (or maybe the first as a brutal version of the latter). It's a shame I got to read it only now after the forever I dealt with in finding a copy. At last I got a hand on not just one, but two (Hannibal). I'm reading the other one probably after I see the movie adaptation. My vacation is probably short-lived because I'm finished reading it. All the elements were still ringing doorbells in my consciousness and I wasn't able to grasp a slumber last night (thinking Gumb's outside looking for a female victim tho I'm so skinny for his taste). This one's of proper keeping after my Sherlock Holmes short stories-novels and Agatha Christie series collections. Excellent.

Hannibal Lecter

yay! All my love for Thomas Harris' Hannibal Lecter series! I'm still trying to find red dragon tho. ^^ And did I mention I ship Hannibal Lecter - Clarice Starling loveteam? Weird. :D

Sammie's Prayer by Danielle Que

His prayers on platter, apprehend
Books that know what deed?
His hands abound one reverend
And yet flayed by his holy greed
'Give of Your Best to the Master'
That He may let you in peace
Scriptures, what must be a chatter
At a disciple's formidable ease
The heavens , the feet shall touch
If to be burned, had none a prayer
For nice deeds are being watched
Prayers laid on whose platter?
'For Give of Your Best to the Master'
And the master shall give you ease
Serve the head of whose mother
As white saints' grandest feast

The Summit by Danielle Que

(this is a poem that I dedicate for the Mount Everest climber David Sharp who died while descending from the summit. He was still alive but barely moving and 40 climbers had passed him by without even helping him.)

The Summit (David Sharp 1972 - 2006) by Danielle Que

Here, rested his dome-shaped ice
My days gone by, without air
As footsteps slowly ahead rise
Of my ill fated dream and fair

It was souls, not flesh and meat
Descended along rocky sides
High above my freezing fleet
It froze and was eaten by tides

Here I am, sleeping, but alive
Sit here though, he slowly dies
Go on further, never the pride
As I slowly paid the algid price

Those who have forgotten near
And those who continued on
Those voices I warmly hear
As his loneliness had me done

Gone were the days I miss
As I lay here on your beauty
Hoping for your fevered kiss
My hands frostbitten and empty.

Holy Person

Sainthood: Virtues of Summer by Danielle Que

Amongst the crowd art tallt thy virtues of summer,
Sat ardent above Faith, conforming thy disoriented blander
One, sadly, did not though, instead looked upon me yonder
Regally glared at me I hope not. Contemptous, contending and sober
Love not hate, malice nor dislike, yet  a docile one, yes, love.
Honned thy fardest throttlehold army, a dearest virtue to me
Which youngsters from my town seek love from thee
Do find, that virtue that looked upon me,
Standing still, I smiled, frolicked about agast prayers undone
My sainthood, My virtues, except one.
